Village Sirolo

Lose yourself in a sea of emotions!

The beaches of Conero: a world waiting to be discovered

A coastline dotted with enchanting bays and inlets, between cliffs and fine gravel beaches, framed by the deepest green that descends from the sinuous profile of the mountain to the crystal clear sea. This is what the Conero looks like: like the painting of an artist who has chosen the most vibrant and deepest colours to paint a corner of paradise in the centre of the Adriatic – the Adriatic you don’t expect. Villaggio Green Garden is located in the heart of the Conero area, between Sirolo and Numana, a stone’s throw from the most beautiful beaches in central Italy.

Due Sorelle beach

A slice of moonlight set between the blue sea and the green Conero woods, characterised by the presence of two white rock stacks from which it takes its name, the Due Sorelle Beach is the symbol of the Conero Riviera, a destination that cannot be missed in your travel diary.

Still unspoiled and accessible only by sea, it has preserved its wild beauty, a magical place where nature is the absolute protagonist.

San Michele and Sassi neri

Descending on foot from the path in the Sirolo park, under the shade of centuries-old maritime pines, one finds oneself in front of an enchanting landscape: the beach of San Michele, a long stretch of pebbles overlooked by striking cascades of cliffs and Mediterranean scrub, lapped by turquoise water on a rocky seabed. The northern end is characterised by a long, narrow strip of dark rocks called Sassi Neri, where the sea becomes even more intense and deep, and contact with the purest and most unspoilt nature becomes absolute.

Spiaggia Urbani

A bay of fine gravel bordered on one side by the cave from which it takes its name and on the other side by a rocky spur that divides it from San Michele, it is distinguished by the presence of characteristic little restaurants on the beach.

Spiaggia del Frate

The southernmost stretch of the Sirolian beaches is located just below the historic centre of Numana, providing it with one of the most photographed views ever. The Spiaggia del Frate (Friar’s Beach) is a small inlet of fine gravel, reserved and protected, where the water is always calm and transparent, characterised by a grotto dug out under the rocky ridge and a large white rock smoothed by the caresses of the sea and the wind.

Spiagge di Numana

The Numana coastline is easily accessible by car, well equipped, and features a pleasant seafront promenade that is well served by car parks. La Spiaggiola marks the boundary between the beaches on the high coast and the flat coastline typical of the southern part of the Conero Riviera. Here the charm and beauty of nature are combined with comfort and services.

Ancona

Portonovo and Mezzavalle

To conclude our overview of the most evocative beaches in central Italy, let’s travel northwards about 10 minutes by car from Sirolo to find Portonovo, an enchanting bay characterised by large white pebbles and renowned restaurants; this worldliness is contrasted on the opposite side by Mezzavalle beach, a completely uncontaminated half-moon shaped expanse that can be reached on foot along a steep path through the thick vegetation. All the shades of green of the forest above it and the blue hues of the sky are reflected in the sea. A truly poetic spectacle!
